Step 7: Completion & Handover of your New Home
When your home is nearing completion and your Building Supervisor is able to book in the final tradespersons, you will be provided three (3) weeks official notice of handover.
The Customer Services Co-Ordinator with whom you have been liaising throughout construction will contact you and discuss the administrative procedures, answer any queries which you may have and generally ensure a stress free handover of your new Alliance Home.
The Accountant will prepare the final tax invoice which will show a reconciliation of any provisional sums, monies paid to date, contract variations and final balance owing. You are requested to check this invoice and if you concur with the balance due and payable at handover, sign off on the invoice and immediately forward it to your lender for processing.

As each lender has their own criteria, it would be beneficial to determine what special conditions must be met in order for release of the final moneys. These conditions may include; Final Valuation Inspection, House Insurance and presentation of the Final Inspection Certificate.
On determining your lender requirements, discuss them with your Customer Service Co-Ordinator at Alliance Homes and she will ensure all necessary arrangements are underway.
Your Building Supervisor will contact you to arrange a “pre-handover” inspection of your home approximately one (1) to two (2) weeks prior to handover. At this meeting a comprehensive list of any outstanding items awaiting completion will be noted.
On your scheduled day of handover, you will check off the list of items which were identified at the pre-handover inspection and sign off on the handover documentation.
Your Building Supervisor will demonstrate the various features of your home, providing an information kit, appliance and warranty documentation, keys, remote controls and a big “Thank you” from everyone at Stylemaster Homes!
