Step 5: Building Approval
Time taken to receive building/plumbing approvals can vary greatly between council areas. Although the majority of approvals are secured within 3 to 6 weeks of initial lodgment, other factors such as boundary and/or setback relaxations, proximity to sewer mains and the location or design of HSTP’s (Household Sewerage Treatment Plants) can often cause lengthy delays. A Private Certifier will approve the dwelling, however plumbing/drainage and any boundary relaxation are subject to Local Authority approval. Although Stylemaster Homes regularly monitor progress with the various administrative authorities in an attempt to expedite return of building approvals, this process is generally outside our control and your patience is sincerely appreciated.
